Cortisol hormone or stress hormone is a steroid hormone. Steroid hormone means it produces in human body. In human body if any inflammation started then this steroid hormone reduce it. Cortisol made by Adrenal gland which is located at the top of kidney means cortex region.Adrenal gland release this hormone in blood and then circulate to whole body.

How to release Cortisol Hormone

Step 1 - Hypothalamus release corticotropin releasing hormone.
Step 2 - Anterior pituitary gland now stimulates by corticotropin releasing hormone. 
Step 3 - Anterior pituitary gland releases Adreno corticotropic hormone (ACTH).
Step 4 - Adrenal gland now stimulates by ACTH.
Step 5 - At last adrenal gland release Cortisol Hormone.

Function of Cortisol Hormone :

This hormone is call stress hormone and it controls fear,mood,motivation etc in brain. During stress this hormone decided what should we do either we should fight or flight. some points which regulate by cortisol hormone are given below:
1) How our body use carbohydrate,fat,protein that's manage by this hormone.
2) Keeps down inflammation.
3) Increase blood sugar.
4) How blood pressure regulates.
5) Control the complete cycle of your sleep or wake.
6) Boost your energy level during stress and restore balance.

Now, if you want to check the level of cortisol hormone give sample of blood or urine to laboratory.
If you have found any bad result during your test consult your doctor immediately. Proper balance of cortisol hormone is very important because many problem may occur due to this hormone.

Too much stress means cortisol hormone's balance destruction. Many health problem you can feel:
1) Anxiety and Depression.
2) Headache.
3) Heart Disease.

4) Be happy and laugh enough.
5) Maintain healthy relationship (be friendly with others).
6) If possible you need to go for outing.
7) If you have pet then its good because relationship with animal is good for mind.
8) Try to attach with spirituality or meditation.
9) Maintain diet plan( consult with nutritionist).
10) Take certain level of supplements like omega 3 fatty acid contains etc.

Do this steps as daily routine your stress level will low and cortisol hormone will remain under control.
